Why we built BridgeTrade
When Halifax introduced By-law R-400 and updated M-200, thousands of landlords were suddenly required to register their rental properties and maintain a documented 29-point maintenance plan — or face fines ranging from $150 to $10,000 per offence.
Most of these landlords own just a few units. They don't have compliance officers or legal teams. They were left to figure out paper forms, inspection schedules, and contractor certifications on their own.
